In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sukumar Roy of BJP won in this constituency beating Binay Krishna Barman of TMC by a margin of 14615 votes which was 6.03% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Nagendra Nath Roy of AIFB was the winner in this seat beating Parimal Barman of TMC by a margin of 12293 votes which was 5.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Nageneraldra Nath Roy of AIFB won this seat defeating Prasenjit Barman of TMC by a margin of 2197 votes which was 1.17% of the total votes polled for the seat.
