In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Nikhil Ranjan Dey of BJP won in this constituency beating Avijit De Bhowmik of TMC by a margin of 4931 votes which was 2.54% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Mihir Goswami of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Debasis Banik of AIFB by a margin of 18195 votes which was 10.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Akshay Thakur of AIFB won this seat defeating Abdul Jalil Ahmed of TMC by a margin of 2863 votes which was 1.87% of the total votes polled for the seat.
