According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 88.3%, while it was 90.13% in 2016, and 89.39% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Malati Rava Roy of BJP won in this constituency beating Pranab Kumar Dey of TMC by a margin of 31198 votes which was 15.05% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Fazal Karim Miah of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Shyamal Choudhury of INC by a margin of 15270 votes which was 7.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Arghya Roy Pradhan of TMC won this seat defeating Dhananjoy Rava of CPIM by a margin of 6182 votes which was 3.78% of the total votes polled for the seat.
