Sitalkuchi Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Cooch Behar district in the North Bengal region of West Bengal: 1. CDB Sitalkuchi and 2. Bairagirhat, Gopalpur, Jorpatiki, Kedarhat, Kursamari, Nayarhat and Shikarpur GPs of CDB Mathabhanga-I

This constituency covers an approximate area of 490 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sitalkuchi is: 26°13'59.2"N 89°10'04.1"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 85.57%, while it was 88.05% in 2016, and 88.47% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Baren Chandra Barman of BJP won in this constituency beating Partha Pratim Ray of TMC by a margin of 17815 votes which was 7.32% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Hiten Barman of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Namadipti Adhikary of CPIM by a margin of 15483 votes which was 6.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Hiten Barman of TMC won this seat defeating Biswanath Pramanik of CPIM by a margin of 257 votes which was 0.13% of the total votes polled for the seat.
