In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Adhikary Paresh Chandra of TMC won in this constituency beating Dadhiram Ray of BJP by a margin of 14685 votes which was 7.48% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Arghya Roy Pradhan (Bilu) of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Paresh Chandra Adhikary of AIFB by a margin of 6637 votes which was 3.67% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Adhikary Paresh Chandra of AIFB won this seat defeating Jayanta Kumar Ray of INC by a margin of 32632 votes which was 22.14% of the total votes polled for the seat.
