In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Manoj Kumar Oraon of BJP won in this constituency beating Leos Kujur (Urao) of TMC by a margin of 11001 votes which was 4.79% of the total votes cast. In 2016, James Kujur of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Manoj Kumar Oraon of RSP by a margin of 6153 votes which was 2.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dasrath Tirkey of RSP won this seat defeating Joachim Baxla of TMC by a margin of 12581 votes which was 7.18% of the total votes polled for the seat.
